As a strong advocate for service excellence, personal achievement and setting the professional bar high, Patrice leverages her verbal and written communication skills and her past experience in the coaching staff, students and peers in creating their best public persona, for both professional and personal success.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Patrice was raised and schooled in the United Kingdom and then Canada, before returning home and attending the University of the West Indies. Her diverse background has greatly influenced her outlook and contributed to her socially and environmentally conscious mindset and her general approach to life.
Patrice’s career has spanned roles in the telecommunications, media, advertising, finance, film and post graduate education sectors, where she has managed and motivated teams in marketing, customer service, sales and administration. Her 15-year career in telecoms included the implementation and setting up of mobile telecommunications services in Trinidad and Tobago. Patrice also worked closely with the Director of the Bocas Lit Fest in laying the foundations for the highly successful festival and NGO; she also coordinated its participation in Carifesta XIV, in 2018. As an academic advisor, Patrice guided post graduate candidates towards the course of study best suited to the achievement of their professional goals. She has also assisted many C-Suite clients in creating CV’s, resumes, professional bios, online profiles, speeches and presentations that sell their strengths and open doors for them. Her experience also spans creating content, press releases, blogs, corporate and sponsorship documents.
Patrice holds a B.Sc. in Management Studies from UWI, St. Augustine, Trinidad, a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising and PR from the LCCI, a professional certificate in Social Media Strategy from the Arthur Lok Jack GSB, in addition to hundreds of hours of continuous learning in languages and skills development.
Patrice enjoys diverse activities and learning new things. She is a collage artist, enjoys hiking, sewing, painting, cycling, salsa dancing, reading, nature and travelling. She is a certified SMART (Self motivated addition recovery training) facilitator, past Rotarian and contributed pro bono as a blogger for a network for single women.
