Bio
Patrice has always loved artistic and creative pursuits like painting, sewing, writing and crafts. The Covid-19 pandemic provided time and focus to explore a new art-form involving the creation of collage art from upcycling materials. She particularly enjoys creating hummingbird and animal art as well as commissioned pieces. The range and complexity of her craft has evolved considerably, and in 2021, she was certified by the Artist Registry of Trinidad and Tobago as a visual artist. Her art has been featured in exhibitions staged by Women in Art T&T, Think Artwork Gallery, The Art Society of T&T and the Rotunda Gallery of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago, and many of her creations have found homes locally and abroad.
She also enjoys hiking, dancing, reading, volunteering, and travelling. She is a certified facilitator of SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training), a system that employs cognitive behavioural theory to combat addiction. She was an active member of the Rotary Club and a regular contributor to a blog for the Global Network for the Advancement of Single Mothers.
